French and Flemish records, located and transcribed for you
French or Belgian ancestry, no problem! Or is there? If you don't have the language, you may find it difficult to explore the many sources available.
Off The Beaten Track has a native french speaker on hand who is experienced in genealogy, particularly in the north and east of France and also in both communities in Belgium (Walloon and Flemish). She has tracked an impressive 15 generations of her own family history through Flanders, France and Prussia. She is also an expert translator of records both from French and Latin into English.
Not only you will get help in finding records on your ancestors, you will get them translated!
It is important to note that French/Belgian research is a new branch of our research facilities and there is a minimum charge applying to this service of €250. Archives in Belgium and France are provincial/regional and therefore your research will require a lot of travelling and expenses.
If your research is concise, we may be able to use a look up service. Let us know the details, we will assess the possibilities and let you know about costs, click here for a free assessment.
